The Xbox Series X is a beast of a machine. Whilst I understand why Microsoft made the Series S in order to reach the low end of the market, ultimately it is anti-consumer because it will mean third-party developers make games confined to the weaker limits of its power and games never reach their potential. It's a shame.
Jason Schreier isn't a real journalist because he doesn't understand the values real journalists hold on to. He has deliberately buried stories because he didn't like the politics of the people. For example, Colin Moriarty's panel at PAX being revoked.
Jason Schreier sees himself as a hero but that isn't the case. He pushed this story about CD Projekt staff having to work an extra day for six weeks as if it was a terrible crime. I've worked 6 day we...
The unit being hot to touch is normal for computer hardware. If you burn yourself touching it that would be a problem but there haven't been ANY reports about this. So until there are reports of people hurting themselves then it is way too premature to assume there is an issue.
The video is in 720p so I couldn't tell the effect of the enhancements. It kind of looks like the 360/PS3 edition.
The past couple of weeks have been a complete ship-show for Sony. Regular bad news and a complete lack of control over its messaging. For so long the company has told us to wait for news but at the moment the company feels like a headless chicken running around in circles.
This is a joke article that uses the 'Xbox Series S Review' in the title for SEO to cheat hits from people eager to find out about the actual console. It shouldn't be here.
The logo is similar to something else in the gaming/tech space but I can't remember what!
My local Game, which covers a huge catchment area, still has plenty of units of the Xbox Series S. So early adopters are preferring to go for the Series X.
Do the format wars mean you have to surrender a sense of humour?!!
I crack an ironic joke about selling out 19 units in 20 minutes. Let me explain the joke, it means that at first instance selling out all units in 20 minutes sounds great, but then I said, in character, it's not actually so good if you only had 19 units -which means they weren't even been sold at the rate of one a minute! Maybe not that funny but that bad either. But why take the joke to be an attac...
"Xbox Series X sells out in 20 minutes on Amazon UK"
When you learn that they only had 19 units to sell it doesn't sound like such a big achievement...
The article is written by TOM WARREN. He's the guy who is too close to Microsoft's PR and they feed him stories in return for editorial sycophancy.
There WILL be a clear winner!
It's NOT the manufacturer that talks in uncertainties, eg. 'we sold ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of our units!'
The winner IS the manufacturer who makes public actual unit sales numbers.
Microsoft has heavily promoted the value of how Xbox can play and improve backwards compatible games. However, the Xbox Series S backward compatibility is inferior to the previous-gen model the Xbox One X. If BC is to be prized as an important feature then media outlets should highlight this disparity. Either it means the Xbox Series S is underpowered and not fit for the purpose that has been espoused by Microsoft's PR, or the perceived value of backwards compatibility on next-gen console...
After Bungie went to all that trouble to divorce from Microsoft it would be surprising that it would want to jump back in Phil Spencer's bed.
Xbox Series Craig.
@Kaedro Which console is Craig?
"Redefines next-gen..." by not being next-gen enough.
Digital Foundry has said the smaller memory could impact graphics. https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Gears Tactics is the exclusive launch title?
Olly S wrote on AB Gaming "God bless the French, they do love a birra industrial action. Local patisserie burns your croissant? Strike. Wife takes a second lover? Strike. Massive, global developer threatens the livelihood of you and your colleges? Strike. But perhaps, given the global rise in unemployment as we are all forced to sit at home and write articles derailing French stereotypes, we can at least empathise (although a burnt croissant is nothing to be taken lightly)."
